INTERNATIONAL WINE OF THE MONTH CLUB
CHATEAU PLAISANCE
“The ultimate dinner wine” was how one panel member succinctly described the Chateau Plaisance. “Elegance in a bottle … quintessential St. Emilion” and “bottled poetry “, are a few other statements made in regard to this top notch Bordeaux all of which sum up the consensus of the panel.
A beguiling bouquet of ripe cassis fruit, toasted bread, and subtle earth tones which epitomize all that is good in Grand Cru Bordeaux, which complement the wine’s dark ruby robe and seductive texture. Moreover, this charming Grand Cru adds further testimony to the greatness of both St. Emilion and nearby Pomerol.

Chateau Plaisance Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2009
This elegant , pure St.-Emilion exhibits notes of kirsch, spice box, and earth as well as a subtle touch of oak, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and an excellent texture and finish. It should drink well for 10-12 years .

The 2008 Chateau Plaisance exhibits sweet blackcurrant and black cherry fruit intermixed with noteworthy Minerality and spice box. This medium-bodied elegant pure, nicely textured effort can be drunk over the next decade.

CHATEAU PLAISANCE
SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU
The 2005 vintage plays on subtlety. In the glass, ruby mixes with garnet-red. The bouquet, still discreet, opens with aeration, with notes of vanilla and truffle, and a light wood nose. The mouth is soft, warm, well balanced by enduring tannins. After one or two years of patience, you will open this bottle for any opportunity
LA TOUR DE BERNADON 2005,
It was the last vintage before Derek EGAN bought the property in 2006.
This 2005 offers an expressive and enduring nose of plums, apricots, peaches and fresh oak.
Charm, roundness, fresh in mouth in harmony with the nose, mellow and soft tannins : this wine is very well made.
To enjoy right now.
GUIDE HACHETTE 2010
LA TOUR DE BERNADON 2006, For the new owners of this property, who came in 2006, this first vintage is particularly noteworthy for its deep red body, which opens on a rich nose of jammy fruits and herbal undertones. In the mouth, it is round and soft, revealing flavours of spice and black fruits with elegant and well-balanced tannins.
Decant before tasting.
